SLAG WOOL

What is Slag Wool ?

Slag wool is similar to rock wool, but is manufactured using by-products from steel industry blast furnaces.

Unlike rock wool, this wool is grey as it contains no iron; the yellow appearance of rock wool is partly caused by the oxidation of the iron it contains.

The wool used is EUCEB® certified with rating Q, meaning it is not classified as a carcinogen. It also bears a certificate of biosolubility which demonstrates its solubility in the body in the event that free fibres are inhaled (namely while the product is in use)
